<br />City of Centerville <br />City Council Meeting <br /> <br />June 24, 2009 <br /> Mr. Eilertson thanked the City Council for the opportunity to work with Centerville. He <br />presented and reviewed the following three items with the City Council: <br /> <br /> <br />a.Finance Plan Summary – This document outlines the bond <br />recommendations and bond structure for the upcoming bond sale. <br />Northland is recommending that tax-exempt and taxable financing bids be <br />nd <br />received and considered for Council approval at the July 22 meeting. <br /> <br /> <br />b.Resolution calling for the Issuance and Sale of $3,715,000 General <br />Obligation Improvement Bonds, Series 2009A – Financing Bids would be <br />received at 10:30 a.m. at Northland Securities’ offices and would be <br />presented to the City Council later that evening for approval. <br /> <br />Discussion ensued <br /> <br /> <br />c.Financial Advisor Agreement with Northland Securities – The agreement <br />states Northland’s pre-sale and post-sale duties, as well as their <br />compensation. <br /> <br /> Discussion ensued. <br /> <br /> <br />2.Financial Advisor Agreement – City/Northland Securities <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Lee, seconded by Council Member Paar to approve the <br /> <br />Financial Advisor Agreement between the City of Centerville and Northland <br />Securities. All in favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br /> <br />3.Res. #09-017a – Calling for the Issuance & Sale of $3,715,000 General Obligation <br />Improvement Bonds, Series 2009A (Pages 42-50) <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Broussard Vickers, seconded by Council Member <br /> <br />Fehrenbacher, to approve Resolution #09-017a Calling for the Issuance and Sale of <br />$3,715,000 General Obligation Improvement Bonds, Series 2009A. All in favor. <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br /> <br />4.Review Trail Easements <br /> <br />a. Authorize Additional Easement Appraisals – Not to Exceed $3,000 <br /> <br /> City Administrator Larson reported that the cost of each of the ten easements would <br />be $400, making the total amount $4,000. <br /> <br /> City Engineer Statz presented some slides and provided updates. <br /> City Administrator Larson stated that the amount to be authorized should not <br />exceed $5,000. <br /> <br />Page 3 of 5 <br /> <br />
