<br />City of Centerville <br />City Council Meeting <br /> <br />June 24, 2009 <br />Motion by Council Member Lee, seconded by Council Member Paar, to authorize the <br /> <br />additional easement appraisals, not to exceed $5,000. All in favor. Motion carried <br />unanimously. <br /> <br /> 5. Resolution 09-017 - Appointing Acting Mayor & Order of Succession <br /> <br /> Mayor Capra stated that the purpose of this resolution is to give the order of succession in <br />the event that the current Mayor cannot continue in the position. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Broussard Vickers, seconded by Council Member Paar, <br /> <br />to approve Resolution 09-017 Appointing Acting Mayor & Order of Succession. All <br />in favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br /> <br />IX.ANNOUNCEMENTS/UPDATES <br /> <br /> <br />1.City Administrator, Dallas Larson <br /> <br />Backyard Drainage Project <br /> <br />City Administrator Larson reported that the Backyard Drainage Project for County Road <br />14 has been delayed until the end of July. <br /> <br />City Engineer Statz stated that the contractor changed his original schedule, and he has <br />decided to finish the street work first. The contractor offered to set up temporary fencing <br />to the residents at his cost. City Engineer Statz stated that there had been a lack of <br />communication as to the importance of the time schedule. <br /> <br /> Councilmember Broussard Vickers stated that the Council needs to communicate to the <br />contractor what the next anticipated completion date should be. <br /> <br /> Discussion ensued. <br /> <br /> With regard to the CSAH 14 Project, City Administrator Larson stated that it will be two <br />weeks before they pave the trail. <br /> <br />City Engineer Statz discussed the work that had been completed and the work that is <br />nearing completion. <br /> <br /> City Engineer Statz reported that the timers have been installed on the downtown lights, <br />and half of them are scheduled to go off at midnight, with all of them to go off at sunrise. <br /> <br /> Cable Commission <br /> <br /> Councilmember Fehrenbacher reported that, at the Cable Commission’s last meeting, the <br />2010 Budget was reviewed and approved, with reductions in cost. <br /> <br /> Discussion ensued <br /> <br />Page 4 of 5 <br /> <br />
