<br />r <br /> <br />Council Member Broussard Vickers indicated the area is not just a flood plain but a <br />floodway and that carries even more stringent restrictions than a flood plain. <br /> <br />Mr. lrkenback asked the Commission to look into the matter before changing the zoning. <br /> <br />Commissioner Wilharber indicated he would like to ask Mr. Palzer the reason for the <br />change. <br /> <br />Mr. Don Simonson of 7263 Centerville Road indicated that he is concerned that if <br />someone had aerial photographs they could determine the land was dry at one point and <br />determine it is not a natural wetland and the City would lose control of the property. He <br />further commented that someone could mitigate two to one and fill in the wetland. <br /> <br />Mr. Marcello of 1649 Peltier Lake Drive suggested the City may need to amend <br />Ordinance #4 to include the conservation district. <br /> <br />Chairperson Hanson indicated that all public input would be considered before any <br />changes would be made. He then reviewed the other changes to the zoning map for those <br />in attendance. <br /> <br />Commissioner McLean commented that he had thought this was a paperwork issue but <br />said there have been some good points raised that he feels need to be investigated before <br />the zoning is changed. <br /> <br />Mr. Richard Thompson of 1657 Peltier Lake Drive indicated that when he built his house <br />in the mid-1970's the bucket used to dig out the area was left on his property. <br /> <br />Mr. Norm Friteche of 1637 Peltier Lake Drive indicated that the area was dug out to <br />provide more buildable property. <br /> <br />Motion bv Commissioner DeVine. seconded bv Commissioner Kilian to continue the <br />public hearine: to the November 14. 2001 Council Meetine:.
