Me

, ~....,
V1...

TO: Planning and Zoning Commission

FROM: Jim March

SUBJECT: Mini-Storage

DATE: February 2, 2001

On two occasions individuals, (one being Mr. Sager), have contacted Staff in regards to
constructing a Mini-Storage facility within the community. Currently, Ordinance #4 does
not address this type of business.

Mr. Sager will be appearing to discuss a proposed facility; however, prior to any action in
regards to Mr. Sager's proposal, the Commission needs to consider amending Ordinance
#4 to include Mini-Storage facilities as Permitted Uses for the Industrial (I-I) zoning
district or create a new district which addresses same.

It is my understanding that several members of the commission have spoken with Mr.
Sager in regards to his proposed Mini-Storage facility. On Tuesday, I spoke with Mr.
Sager in regards to the zoning issues and how same may affect his proposal.
