Mayor Swedberg volunteered to be the Alternate for the <br />Cable Commission indicating he would attend the meetings until Council Member Capra <br />was available. <br /> <br />Council Member Travis volunteered to continue to serve on the Fire Steering Committee. <br />Mr. March noted typically the Mayor and a Council Member from each city, the Fire <br />Chief, and City Administrators meet on a quarterly basis to discuss Fire District issues. <br /> <br />The City Engineer is Bonestroo, Rosene, Anderlik & Associates. <br /> <br />The City Forester is Joe Goetz of Goetz Landscape. <br /> <br />Mayor Swedberg noted there is a vacancy on the Economic Development Commission <br />and invited residents to apply. Mr. March noted he had recently received a letter of <br />interest from Mr. Rick Terway. <br /> <br />Mayor Swedberg stated he would like to hold off on appointing liaisons until next month <br />to allow time to talk to the various committees. <br /> <br />The City's official depository is First State Bank III Hugo and County Bank III <br />Centerville. <br /> <br />The City's official newspaper is Quad Community Press. <br /> <br />The City's responsible authority is Mr. March. <br /> <br />Mayor Swedberg noted he was honored to be the Weed Inspector per state law and asked <br />that in his absence Mr. Paul Palzer serve as the Deputy Weed Inspector. <br /> <br />Motion bv Council Member Nelson. seconded bv Council Member Travis to <br />approve Resolution 01-002 as presented with the reQuested challl!es. All in favor. <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />7. Ordinance #4 - Amendments <br /> <br />Council Member Broussard Vickers gave a brief overview of the purposes behind the <br />proposed amendments. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Nelson. seconded by Mayor Swedbere to approve the <br />Ordinance #4 amendments as presented. All in favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />8. Ordinance #39 - Sign <br /> <br />Council Member Broussard Vickers indicated this was a new ordinance that would <br />supersede any information on signage currently listed in Ordinance #4. The Planning and <br />Zoning Commission looked at sign ordinances from numerous cities in formulating this <br />new ordinance. <br /> <br />Page 15 of 18 <br />
