Acting Mayor Travis so ta ed tha Council's inte s to empower Committees as much as possible, open a s ronge Ii f communication, and enable Committees to act on an authority role for the unc' , forward a more finished product to Council for consideration. Acting Mayor T vi stated the above would allow Committees/Commissions to make more recommendations, invite Committees/Commissions to play a more active role in the process. Acting Mayor Travis stated that Committee/Commission Members are not just to fill a space on a Committee/Commission but are volunteers that act in the best interest ofthe City. Acting Mayor Travis stated that the Council has arranged an Ad Hoc Committee to research additional avenues for communications between Committee/Commissions to Council and communications as a whole within the City.
