RHffle <br /> <br />Committee Member Peil stated that the raille items and the tickets for same will also be <br />donated, so there would be no cost. <br /> <br />6. Fund Raising <br /> <br />Committee Member Pei! stated that the budgeted amount of $100 was for postage, <br />letterhead and copies, etc. <br /> <br />Volunteers Needed; Committee Member Peil stated that the grand total for the <br />aforementioned items was $5,013. Committee Member Pei! explained that last year a <br />wristband determined if individuals were of legal drinking age. Committee Member Pei! <br />stated that banding should be done at the entrance of the carnival rather than at the beer <br />wagon or dance. Set-up would require four (4) individuals for two (2) hours, which <br />would include chairs, tables and decorations, Committee Member Pei! stated that Chair <br />DeVine would take care of this item The Centerville Lion's would be taking care of the <br />raille and selling tickets. <br /> <br />Sub-Committee Update: Committee Member Peil stated that she, Committee Member <br />Travis and Chair DeVine met that afternoon and discussed the fund raising letter. <br />Several ideas were achieved and a sample would be presented at the next meeting for <br />consideration. Chair De Vine stated that the sub-committee is considering and requesting <br />input in compiling a master list of all the individuals that are involved in the festival in <br />any shape or form. Chair DeVine stated that individuals that may have been involved in <br />the parade may not have been aware of the craft show and vice versa, and many of the <br />sponsors may have been unaware of the other areas of the festival, Chair DeVine <br />explained that the sub-committee is considering putting together a package containing <br />information about the entire festival and its events, rather than individual sub-committees <br />forwarding just event specific information to select individuals or groups. The Chair <br />questioned whether the Committee understood the intention behind this concept. <br />Committee Member Sweeney agreed that it would save on postage and spread <br />information to all who have expressed interest in the past. <br /> <br />Committee Member DeVine stated that she felt individuals and organizations would not <br />experience a fee for participating in the parade and craft showlbusiness expo. <br />Committee Member Peil stated that additional planning for packaging was to allow the <br />ability of having different levels of sponsorship be more appealing for their money. <br />Committee Member Pei! explained that VIP parking could be a gratuity for sponsorships <br />at a certain level; free buttons, designated seating at the street dance or entering a float in <br />the parade, Committee Member Peil stated that this concept would possibly bring <br />additional individuals in for participation, and allow an opportunity to achieve additional <br />revenue from same. Chair DeVine requested more specific input on the following items: <br />free craft/business expo. booth, admission to the dance, free number of buttons, reserve <br />seating at the dance, VIP parking. Chair DeVine questioned whether there were items to <br />shy away from. Mr. March stated that the splitting of same would be dependent upon the <br />level of sponsorship. Committee Member Peil stated that she would be compiling the <br />master mailing list. She requested that members forward their lists as soon as possible. <br />
