<br />A motioned was made by Ms. Capra to advertise for her position on the Economic <br />Development Committee, seconded by Ms. Scheller. All in favor. Motioned carried <br />nnanimously. <br /> <br />NEW BUSINESS <br /> <br />By-laws <br /> <br />The by-laws were discussed briefly. <br /> <br />Nominations for Chair and Vice Chair were discussed and the committee will vote on it <br />at the meeting in December. <br /> <br />Businesses, Citizen of the Year, and Lifetime Achievement Awards were discussed. The <br />ballot form would be in the January issue of the Le Journal. These forms need to be <br />returned by February. EDC will count the nomination forms and determine the outcome <br />at the February meeting. These awards will not be presented at the Holiday Party in the <br />future. <br /> <br />Ms. Capra wanted to thank the Lino Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce for sponsoring <br />the forum. Nlr. Rehbine mentioned that there were 46 businesses in the Lino Lakes Area <br />Chamber of Commerce and soon to be 47 when the County Bank joins. <br /> <br />Welcome packets were discussed. Ms. Scheller suggested that a checklist be added to the <br />commercial packets so new businesses coming in to town would know what they would <br />need to have complete before any inspections. <br /> <br />A business survey was mentioned. It would ask questions such as - What would a small <br />business like to see from the Economic Development Committee (i.e. workshops, <br />speakers, etc.) Ms. Scheller volunteered to put this together. <br /> <br />ADJOURNMENT <br /> <br />Motion bv Mr. Magill, seconded bv Ms. Scheller to adiourn the Novembel' 21,2000, <br />EDC Meeting.
