<br />.1 <br /> <br />CITY OF CENTERVILLE <br />CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br />June 28, 2000 <br />6:00 p.m. <br /> <br />I Not Approved I <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the City of Centerville held their regularly <br />scheduled meeting on June 28, 2000, at City Hall, 1880 Main Street. <br /> <br />PRESENT: Mayor Tom Wilharber <br />Council Member Dick Travis <br />Council Member Mari Nelson <br />Council Member Linda Broussard Vickers (arrived at 6: 10 p.m.) <br />Council Member Terry Sweeney (arrived at 6:31 p.m.) <br /> <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />STAFF: City Administrator, Jim March <br />City Attorney, James Hoeft <br />City Engineer, Tom Peterson <br /> <br />I. CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Mayor Wilharber called the June 28, 2000 City Council meeting to order at 6:03 <br />p.m. <br /> <br />II. PUBLIC HEARING (S) <br /> <br />Ordinance #4 <br /> <br />Mr. March reviewed Ordinance #4 with the Council and public for their <br />discussion. He explained the revisions made to this Ordinance as it relates to <br />outside storage and driveway widths. <br /> <br />Lois Whittet, 7162 Brian Way, noted she watches most meetings on cable due to <br />the fact she gets home from work late. She indicated the publication of the <br />Ordinance in the past was a bit misleading due to the fact it stated it would limit <br />the number and size of recreational vehicles on each property. <br /> <br />Ms. Whittet indicated the Ordinance needs cross referencing to get all areas of the <br />Ordinance in line. She indicated she was in conformance with the first ordinance <br />Staff referred her to, but is now in non-compliance of the new ordinance. She <br />stated she is really discouraged about trying to obey the Ordinance when City <br />staff was unable to instruct her on the areas she was not in compliance. <br /> <br />Ms. Whittet noted she came to the City to place a pool in her backyard but she is <br />looking to place it five (5) feet from the property line, which is not allowed. She <br />indicated Staff told her she could either, downsize the pool, remove a portion of <br />her deck or move. Ms. Whittet added that she had purchased the pool and has <br />
