<br />Not Approved <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />CITY OF CENTERVILLE <br />CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br />June 14,2000 <br />6:00 p.m. <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the City of Centerville held their regularly <br />scheduled meeting on June 14,2000, at City Hall, 1880 Main Street. <br /> <br />PRESENT: Mayor Tom Wilharber <br />Council Member Dkk Tmvffi <br />Council Member Terry Sweeney (6:21 p.m) <br />Council Member Linda Broussard Vickers <br /> <br />ABSENT: Council Member Mari Nelson <br /> <br />STAFF: City Attorney, James Hoeft <br />City Engineer, Tom Peterson <br />Public Works Director, Paul Palzer <br /> <br />I. CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Mayor Wilharber called the June 14,2000 City Council meeting to order at 6:04 p.m. <br /> <br />II. PUBLIC HEARING(S) - None. <br />III. APPEARANCES/AWARDS <br /> <br />1999 Audit Presentation - Steve McDonald (Abdo. Abdo. Eick & Mevers) <br /> <br />Mayor Wilharber introduced Steve McDonald, Abdo, Abdo, Eick and Meyers, <br />who completed the 1999 Audit for the City ofCenterville. <br /> <br />Mr. McDonald presented the 1999 Audit and Management Letter. He stated no <br />significant or unusual transactions were brought about through this audit. Mr. <br />McDonald noted no audit adjustments were found and that the general fund <br />increased $145,904 over the past year. <br /> <br />Mr. McDonald noted he recommends placing the City Celebration Fund into the <br />general fund to eliminate the deficit, as there is minimal activity in this account. <br />Mr. McDonald encouraged the Council to have all Capital Projects provide <br />escrows for engineering and attorney fees to minimize deficits in this area. Mr. <br />McDonald noted the water and sewer funds were minimally increasing over the <br />past several years due to additional infrastructure and hook up fees. <br /> <br />Wayne LeBlanc <br /> <br />Wayne LeBlanc, 1677 Peltier Drive, stated he was present to request that all park <br />issues be reviewed by the Parks and Recreation Committee for recommendations <br /> <br />1 <br /> <br />~- <br />
