<br />Council Member Broussard Vickers stated even after future comments at the <br />public hearing it would not mean that the issues would be changed. Council <br />Member Sweeney agreed and stated that this would at least give people the option <br />to address the concern and express their opinion. <br /> <br />Mayor Wilharber stated this Ordinance is not meant to infringe on property rights <br />of any residents but the Council is interested in improving the community. <br /> <br />Motion by Mayor Wilbarber. seconded by Council Member Sweeney to <br />approve tbe Final Draft of Ordinance #4. All in favor. Motion carried <br />unanimouslv. <br /> <br />IX. NEW BUSINESS <br /> <br />3.2 Beer Permit - St. Genevieve's Annual Chicken Dinner <br /> <br />Mayor Wilharber presented the request from St. Genevieve's Church for a one- <br />day temporary 3.2 beer pennit. He noted the church has made this request every <br />year as part of their preparation for the Annual Chicken Dinner which is <br />scheduled for August 20th from 11 :00 a.m. to 5:00 p.rn. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Sweeney. seconded by Council Member Travis <br />to approve a one-day, temporary 3.2 beer permit for AU2ust 20, 2000 for St. <br />Genevieve's Cburcb contin2ent upon receipt of a certificate of insurance for <br />tbis event. All in favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Joint Meeting - Centennial Lakes Police Department 2001 Budget <br /> <br />Mayor Wilharber noted a joint meeting is scheduled for June 22, 2000, at 6:30 <br />p.rn., at the Lexington City Hall, to discuss the 2001 Centennial Lakes Police <br />Department Budget between the three Cities involved. <br /> <br />Vacation Leave Policy <br /> <br />Mayor Wilharber noted this item has been placed on the agenda to clarify a <br />portion of the current personnel policy. He noted the present policy does not <br />define how vacation hours are determined. The present policy simply shows how <br />vacation time accrues in the addition of weeks as the years of service are <br />increased. Mayor Wilharber noted staff recommends the following language be <br />added in the Personnel Policy, Article 8 - Vacation Leave: <br /> <br />"Vacation leave for regular employees that are normally scheduled to work 24 <br />hours or more per week will have vacation weeks defined as 40 hours per week. <br /> <br />Vacation leave for regular employees that are normally scheduled to work less <br />than 24 hours per week will have vacation weeks defined as 20 hours per week." <br /> <br />Mayor Wilharber noted the recommended language should make the vacation <br />section of the Personnel Policy more equitable and easier to administer by staff. <br /> <br />7 <br />
