<br />Centennial Fire District 2001 Budget Approval <br /> <br />Mayor Wilharber stated the 2001 Budget needs approval or suggestions from the <br />Council. <br /> <br />Motion by Mayor Wilbarber. seconded by Council Member Nelson to <br />approve the Centennial Fire District 2001 Bud!!et. All in favor. Motion <br />carried. (Sweeney abstained), <br /> <br />X. CONSENT AGENDA - None. <br /> <br />XI. COMMITTEE REPORTS <br /> <br />. Council Member Travis stated the Business Appreciation Dinner went <br />extremely well. Council Member Nelson concurred. <br /> <br />XII. ADMINISTRA TORS REPORT <br /> <br />Mr. March indicated the Centennial Lakes Police Department is looking to hold a <br />joint meeting to discuss the 2001 budget on either June 19 or 22, 2000. The <br />Council stated they would be in favor of the June 19, 2000 date. <br /> <br />Mr. March stated at the last watershed meeting a representative from the district <br />watershed, a watershed engineer, and numerous other city representatives were <br />present to discuss Clearwater Creek. He noted the watershed decided to place a <br />culvert in the creek, which would not affect the 100-year flood zone. <br /> <br />Mr. March stated he asked numerous questions regarding this project and received <br />vague and unclear answers. He noted that he felt the watershed district was going <br />through with this project fur the City of Hugo to assist with the current ditch <br />problems. Mr. March indicated that by the end of the meeting, the project was <br />scrapped and will be brought back to the drawing board. <br /> <br />Council Member Broussard Vickers asked how the watershed could be slowed <br />down on this project. Mr. March stated that the minutes need to be closely <br />reviewed and the City of Hugo needs to be monitored so that future public <br />hearings are attended by City Staff due to the fact the City would be impacted by <br />down stream water flow of this project. <br /> <br />Mayor Wilharber asked if a letter should be drafted to the watershed regarding <br />down stream impacts. Mr. March stated this could be done to keep the City of <br />Centerville on top of all watershed issues. <br /> <br />XIII. ADJOURNMENT <br /> <br />Motion by Mayor Wilbarber. seconded by Council Member Nelson to <br />adiourn tbc May 24.2000 Council Meetin!! to cxccutivc session at 9:05 p.m. <br />All in favor.
