PETITIONS AND COMPLAINTS <br /> <br />Stop Sign Request - 73rd Street <br /> <br />Mayor Wilharber noted Elizabeth Larson (1882-73rd Street) submitted a petition <br />to the City for a stop sign in her neighborhood due to the rising amount of high- <br />speed traffic on her street. He explained this item was tabled at the April 12, 2000 <br />and April 26, 2000 meeting to allow the Police Department to gather additional <br />information for this area. The Council asked that this item be placed on the next <br />meeting agenda for action once the Police Department reports back to the <br />Council. <br /> <br />Motion bv Council Member Broussard Vickers. seconded bv Council <br />Member Sweeney to table this item until the Mav 24. 2000 City Council <br />MeetinS!. All in favor. Motion carried unanimouslv. <br /> <br />Borowicz Request for Approval of Satellite Enclosure at Acorn Creek Park <br /> <br />Mayor Wilharber read through the request for a satellite enclosure at Acorn Creek <br />Park. He eXplained Craig Borowicz (1861 Revoir Street) was interested in <br />enclosing two sides of the satellite located in Acorn Creek Park. Council Member <br />Nelson noted she was in favor of the request. <br /> <br />Council Member Travis asked if a location has been determined for the satellite. <br />Paul Palzer, Public Works Director, suggested this be left up to the Park and <br />Recreation Commission. He explained placement of the satellite is important to <br />allow for handicap access from the park and trail system. <br /> <br />Aimee Fairbrother (1844 Revoir Street) explained that Mr. Borowicz was delayed <br />and unable to attend the meeting but would follow any and all Council <br />suggestions. <br /> <br />Mayor Wilharber concurred with Mr. Palzer's suggestions. <br /> <br />Council Member Travis suggested this fence be two sided and if a third side was <br />added, the Parks and Recreation Committee may provide funding for the extra <br />section. <br /> <br />Motion bv Council Member Broussard Vickers. seconded bv Council <br />Member Sweeney to approve the fence subject to the DollinS! of Parks and <br />Recreation Committee members with their suS!S!estions.
