<br />Mayor Wilharber stated he would speak with the Police Chief regarding this issue <br />to conduct additional speed monitoring before a decision would be made. He <br />noted this would be placed on the agenda after further infonnation was received. <br /> <br />Ms. Larson stated that several additional neighbors also have input and would like <br />to be present at the next meeting. <br /> <br />Mr. March stated he witnessed the police monitoring and it was extremely visible <br />so alternate methods should be sought for further testing. . <br /> <br />VIII. UNFINISHED BUSINESS <br /> <br />Hunters Crossiru! - Comp Plan Amendment - Receive Feasibilitv Study <br /> <br />Mr. Peterson reviewed the Comp Plan amendment with the Council. He stated <br />this was a preliminary report and that an assumption was made that the developer <br />would pay half of the assessment fees. Mr. Peterson noted the calculations have <br />been reconfigured to match this assumption. <br /> <br />Council Member Nelson asked why the amendment was being brought before the <br />Council. Council Member Sweeney stated the study was before the Council a <br />year prior to development so an amendment would be needed to allow for the <br />development as submitted. He noted this development would be providing <br />$2,000 per lot toward park dedication. <br /> <br />Mayor Wilharber asked ifsurrounding neighbors were asked about being <br />provided with water and sewer. Mr. Peterson stated that Mr. Zerwas had not been <br />addressed at this time, but he would be interested in two services to his site if the <br />option was available. Mr. Peterson explained the amount ofsuch service would <br />be roughly $30,000. <br /> <br />Council Member Nelson asked if this assessment could be lowered if done at a <br />later date. Mr. Peterson stated this would have to be pushed by a developer in <br />order to happen and noted that the future prices for such service are uncertain. <br /> <br />Mayor Wilharber stated concern for the extreme assessment for Mr. Zerwas, as <br />this would not be a positive sale feature for him. Mr. Peterson explained the <br />utility services being provided are more expensive due to the fact there is little <br />right-of-way available and two stubs are needed. <br /> <br />Council Member Broussard Vickers indicated she would like to see the City meet <br />with Mr. Zerwas on this issue to see ifutilities are able to reach his site, to <br />determine the actual expense, and report back to the Council. <br /> <br />Mayor Wilharber asked if utility lines run to plat lines or through lot lines. Mr. <br />Peterson stated they generally run to the plat line of the development. Mr. <br />Carlson stated the area being discussed is outside of the wetland and would not <br />need utility services. <br /> <br />4 <br />
