The purchase agreement for Eagle Trucking has been presented and accepted. The
closing date is set for August 15th.

. Reminder! There is a downtown theme workshop scheduled for next week Tuesday at
6:00 at City Hall.

. Interviews were completed on Monday of this week for the part-time position of Account
Clerk II. The committee is prepared to make a recommendation to Council at the next
meeting.

. Yesterday, I was contacted by a City Planner from Rochester, MN. They are working
with Gor-em Development and Rick Harrison on plans for a subdivision in Rochester that
resembles the Eagle Pass development that we have here in Centerville.

. The Fete des Lacs committee is continuing to make progress in planning the City
celebration. We had a meeting this week with about twelve members in attendance. So far
we have received $5200 in cash donations for this event. We are continuing to look for
donations and volunteers. Please contact City Hall to find out how you can become
involved.

. Playground equipment for Royal Meadows Park, picnic tables, benches and trash
receptacles for the other parks were ordered today. These items were budgeted for and
approved by the Park and Recreation Committee. This committee is taking a proactive role
in working to improve the current parks. I spoke to Daryl Silverness yesterday. Daryl is the
director for the proposed YMCA in Lino Lakes. Daryl will be attending our next Park and
Recreation meeting. The YMCA has committed to provide summer activities and
programming for Centerville youth this year at LaMotte Park. The finer details have to be
worked out, but this will be a great enhancement to our community.

. I will be out of the office on Friday. Enjoy St. Patricks Day!
3/16/00
