<br />Not <br />Approved <br /> <br />CENTERVILLE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE <br />REGULAR MEETING MINUTES <br />JANUARY 18,2000 <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the Centerville Economic Development Committee held their <br />regularly scheduled meeting on January 18, 2000 at City Hall, 1880 Main Street. <br /> <br />Present: <br /> <br />EDC Chairperson Tim Rehbine <br />Committee Member Lori Dorn <br />Committee Member Paul Montain <br />Committee Member John Magill <br />Committee Member Betsy Scheller <br />Committee Member Michelle Moser <br />Council Member Dick Travis <br /> <br />Staff: <br /> <br />EDC/StaffLiaison Aimee Fairbrother <br /> <br />Absent: <br /> <br />Committee Member Mary Capra <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Chairperson Tim Rehbine called the meeting to order at 7 :05 p.m. <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br /> <br />Motion bv Mr. Montain to approve the November 16, 1999 meetiol!: minutes. Ms. Mosher <br />seconded the motion. All in favor. Motion carried. <br /> <br />OLD BUSINESS <br /> <br />DESIGN TEAM - "IDEAS IN ACTION" <br /> <br />A. City Theme (historical) <br /> <br />Although Ms. Capra was not present to discuss the information she received from the <br />Minnesota Historical Society, the committee discussed their views on historical preservation. <br />The committee continues to feel that preserving the City's history is important, but feel the <br />establishment of another City committee or a "Historical Preservation Commission" may <br />involve a lot of work with small results. The committee is however interested in setting a <br /> <br />-I- <br />
