The committee discussed possibly working with John Magill and <br />Bill Bisek on a "Holiday Lights" contest. <br /> <br />The committee requested this item to be placed on the May agenda, to begin planning and <br />advertising the event for winter 2000. Mr. Rehbine asked Ms. Fairbrother to ask the Fete <br />Des Lacs Revitalization Committee if they would be interested in helping EDC coordinate <br />this event. <br /> <br />SPECIAL REVENUE FUND <br /> <br />Ms. Fairbrother distributed a balance statement for year-end 1999 and January 2000. The <br />committee felt the statement was accurate and well organized. <br /> <br />ORDINANCE UPDATE <br /> <br />D Zoning Ordinance - The Planning and Zoning Commission will be holding workshops <br />in addition to their regularly scheduled meeting to work on Ordinance #4. Workshops are <br />being held on Tuesday January l8th and Thursday January 25, 2000. These workshops are <br />open to the public. <br /> <br />NEW BUSINESS <br /> <br />CITY LOGO MUGS <br /> <br />The committee discussed possible marketing ideas for promoting and selling the City logo mugs <br />purchased in July. The committee requested Ms. Fairbrother develop a marketing concept for <br />local businesses that would incorporate the city mugs. Ms. Dom and Ms. Scheller agreed to <br />review and help with this project. <br /> <br />The committee also agreed to provide a limited number of mugs and golf shirts to be given away <br />as prizes for a possible upcoming photo contest set up through the Le Journal and Le Petite. <br /> <br />AWARDS <br /> <br />Ms. Fairbrother indicated the Fete Des Lacs Revitalization Committee was interested in <br />recognizing the Business Person and Citizen of the Year as well as the Life Time Achievement <br />Award winners at the City Celebration. The Economic Development Committee thought the <br />festival would be a great time to re-recognize the award winners. <br /> <br />LONG TERM PLANNING COMMITTEE <br /> <br />Ms. Fairbrother referenced a letter included in the committee's packet from Wayne LeBlanc and <br />- 3- <br />
