The City Clerk, or his designee, shall <br />pUblish notice of the mandatory water <br />conservation requirements in the legal newspaper, <br />and such other publications as determined by City <br />Council resolution, and the mandatory water <br />conservation measures shall take place immediately <br />upon such publication. <br /> <br />2.3 Whenever water production reaches 756.000 gallons <br />per day tor three consecutive days, the City shall <br />implement a mandatory water conservation measure <br />which shall include the following: watering of <br />lawns and gardens shall be prohibited; all other <br />nonessential wate~ uses, such as washing ~otor <br />vehicles. boats. traile~s, or other vehicles, <br />exteriors of dwellings, buildings, or ocher <br />structures, and washing of sidewalks, driveways <br />and other hard ?aved areas, snall be prohibited. <br />Watering eXceptLons shall be allowed by the City <br />Clerk or his designee for ne~ly seeded lawns, new <br />sod, and where necessary to keep other plants alive. <br />The City Clerk, or his designee, shall publish notice <br />of the mandatory water conservation requirements in <br />the le~al na~spaper, and such other publications as <br />determ1ned by City Council resolution, and the <br />mandatory water conservation measures shall take <br />place immediately upon such publication. <br /> <br />2.4 In addition to the above requirements, wheneve~ the <br />City Council determines that a Shortage of water <br />supply threatens the City, or otherwise determines <br />it is in the public interest to restrict the <br />nonessential Water use, the City Council may, by <br />resolution, impose the voluntary water conservation <br />or mandatory water conser.\Tstion measures as set <br />forth above. The City Clerk. or his designee, shall <br />publish notice of such water conservation <br />requirements in the legal newspaper, and such other <br />publications as determined by City Council resolution, <br />and such regulation shall be effective immediately <br />upon such publication. In addition, if the emergency <br />re~uires immediate compliance with the terms of the <br />resolution, the City Council may provide for the <br />delivery of a copy of the resolution to the premises <br />of water customers, in which case such regulation. <br />shall be effective immediately following such <br />delivery. <br /> <br />SECTION 3. Violacion. A violation of the mandatory water <br />Conservation measures described in this Ordinance shall constitute <br /> <br />-2- <br />
