The Cicy Council rinds Chat there is rising <br />concern about conserving our valuable resources. The City Council <br />further finds tnat sprinkling lawns during the middle of the day is <br />wasteful and may be harmful. Accordingly, it is in the public <br />interest to prohibit lawn sprinkling during mid-day hours. <br />Further, it is th~ public interest to regulate and restrict <br />nonessential water use .whan there may be <II shortage of the water <br />supply. <br /> <br />SECTIO~ ~. Restricted Hours. <br /> <br />2.1 Whenever water production reaches 378,000 gallons <br />per day for three consecutive days, the City shall <br />implement a voluntary water conservation measure <br />which shall include the following: a request to <br />limit nonessential water use, and to limit lawn and <br />garden watering except between 6:00 a.m. and 10:00 <br />a.m. and between 7:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m., with <br />watering on even number~d days at those residences <br />with even numbered addresses and on odd numbered <br />days at those residences with o~d numbered <br />addresses. The City Clerk, or his designee, shall <br />publish notice of the voluntary water cons~rvation <br />measure in the legal newspaper, and such other <br />publications as determined by City Council <br />resolution. <br /> <br />2.2 Whenever water production reaches 504,000 gall~ns per <br />day for three consecutive qays, the City shall <br />implement a mandatory water conservation measure <br />which shall include the following: lawn and garden <br />watering shall be prohibited except between the <br />hours of 6:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. and <br />10:00 p.m., with watering on even numbered days at <br />those residences with even numbered addresses and on <br />odd numbered days at those residences with odd <br />numbe~ed addressesl other nonessential water uses, <br />such as washing motor vehicles, boats, trailers, or <br />other vehicles. exteriors of dwellings, buildings, <br />or other structures, and washint of sidewalks, <br />driveways and other hard paved areas, shall be <br />limited to odd numbered addresses on odd numbered <br />days. and ~ven numbered addresses on ~ven numbered <br /> <br />____~:<l~..'....,.," <br /> <br />-1- <br /> <br />Wo th.nk th..
