ORDINANCE #31 AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE LICENSING AND BONDING OF INDIVIDUALS, FIRMS, CORPORATION, CONTRACTORS AND SUBCONTRACTORS DOING OR PER- FORMING WORK WITHIN THE CITY OF CENTERVILLE AND PROVIDING PENALTIES FOR THE VIOLATION THEREOF. The City Council of the City of Centerville, Anoka. County, Minne- l!lota, ordaine:: SECTION 1. That it 13 deemed in the interest of the public and the residents of the City of Centerville that any person, firm or corpora.tion who engages in the business of building, conl!;truc:- tion or related work, within the City of Centerville, as defined a1> :::ection 4 of this ordinance, ehall firet secure a licens;& the-xefor all provided herein. This ordinance shall not apply to persons, firms or corpo:ns:tiioneo who' produce a product within the City of Centerville for uee outside of the City of C~nterville. , SECTION . The licenBe fee ehall be $25. annually. Each license shall expire on the 1st day of January after the Bame iBsued and shall not be prorated. The fee herein eBtablished may be Changed,. from time to time, by the City Council, by resolution, a copy of which shall be on file and open for inspection at regular busine~. hours in the office of the City Clerk. SECTION 4. Licenses Bhall b~ obtained by every parson engaged in the following businesses or work in accordance with the applicable ordinances of the City of Centerville: a. General contractors, including thol!le involved in erection, alterati'on or repair of Btructures'. b. Masonry, cement work, cement block'work, block laying or brick work.. c. Heating and ventilating. d. ROOfing. e. Plaetering, BtuccO work and sheet rock taping. f. ExcavationB, including excavations for footings, basements lIIld grading of lote_ g. Wrecking of structuves. h. All fences. i. ABphalt work.
