Downtown Redevelopment Planning <br /> <br />City Administrator Larson indicated that the City is in line to receive a grant <br />through the County for $200,000 for redevelopment for some demolition and site <br />work. <br /> <br />4. CSAH 14IMain Street Proiect/County Response to Draft MOU <br /> <br />City Administrator Larson indicated that he would be meeting with Mr. Fischer <br />on Friday, July 15, 2005. He then reviewed with Council an alternative to the <br />backage road butting it on the bottom side toward the south and shifting all the <br />wetland and ponding as far south as possible. <br /> <br />Council Member Terway asked how that change would affect the option to <br />purchase on the property or the value ofthe property. <br /> <br />City Administrator Larson suggested that there is approximately seven (7) acres <br />with an assumed value of $2.00 per square foot for a price of $150,000 to <br />$200,000. He then said that a portion of those costs would be absorbed by the <br />City but most of it could be rolled into the sale of the lots. <br /> <br />Mayor Capra requested information on the cost for an extension of Fairview <br />Street. <br /> <br />Council asked Staff to talk to Rice Creek Watershed District and the buyer of the <br />Rehbein property to see if an agreement could be reached. <br /> <br />5. Emplovee Participation in Fete des Lacs Parade <br /> <br />City Administrator Larson indicated that he has not yet obtained a commitment by <br />any Staff members to participate in the parade. <br /> <br />Council agreed that Staff that participates will be paid overtime for three hours. <br /> <br />6. Police Commission Update <br /> <br />Council Member Lee indicated that a tentative labor agreement has been reached <br />that needs to be ratified with the LELS with a three year agreement with 3, 3.5, <br />and 4% over next three years. He then said that the only real change is a limit of <br />community service from 40 to 20 hours and a performance pay program was <br />added. <br /> <br />Page 9 of 10 <br /> <br />9 <br />
