'FCVC(651) 429-8629 <br /> <br />CITY OF CENTERVILLE, MINNESOTA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #O5~36 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION CALLING FORA PUBLIC HEARING ON THE ADOPTION OF A TAX INCREMENT <br />FINANCING PLAN FOR TAX INCREMENT FINANCING DISTRICT NO. 1-6 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, on September 23, 1987 the City of Centerville (City) established a city development district <br />(Development District No. I) pursuant Minnesota Statutes. Sections 469.124 through 469.134, to promote <br />development and redevelopment within an area of the City which had not been developed to its full potential; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City wishes to create tax increment financing plan (plan) for TIF District No. 1-6 <br />pursuant Minnesota Statotes. Sections 469.174 throngh 469.179, as amended, to encourage the redevelopment of a <br />certain designated area in the city and authorize the expenditnre of tax increment for certain public improvements. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED By the City Council of the City of Centerville, Minnesota as follows: <br /> <br />I The Finance Director is authorized and directed to prepare the Plan for TIF District No. 1-6. <br /> <br />2 . The City Council shall hold a public hearing ou the Plan on August 24, 2005, starting at 6:30 p. m in the <br />Council chambers at city hall. <br /> <br />3 The Finance Director is authorized and directed to prepare a notice of the public hearing and cause the <br />notice to be published in the official newspaper at least 10 days prior to the public hearing. <br /> <br />4 The Finauce Director is authorized and directed to transmit a copy of the Plan to the county and school <br />district with a notice of the time and place of the public hearing to be held before the city council. <br /> <br />5 The Finance Director is authorized and directed to take any and all other steps reasonably necessary in <br />order to accomplish these purposes. <br /> <br />Dated: Julv 13. 2005. <br />Mary Capra, Mayor <br /> <br />ATIEST: <br /> <br />Teresa Bender, City Clerk <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member <br />upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />and <br /> <br />And the following voted against same: <br /> <br />Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />~3 <br />
