<br />E. Detoxification Discussion <br /> <br />Chief Makela informed the Board that Anoka's Detox closed and the County's <br />alternative for the departments was to take drunks to Dakota, 81. Cloud or <br />Plymouth. The County is offering $30.00 for each transport. Chief Makela <br />requested each Governing Board member to speak to their County Commissioners <br />regarding this issue. <br /> <br />Chairman Korst suggested getting a bid for painting the remaining squads (8) the same as <br />the new black and white squads. The Board agreed with the suggestion. <br /> <br />Councilmember Lee suggested exploring the naming of a Police Chief. The Operating <br />Committee will make a recommendation on how to proceed with this issue at the July <br />Governing Board meeting. <br /> <br />Chief Makela read two thank you letters received by the department. <br /> <br />11. CWSED MEETING <br /> <br />A. Labor Negotiations <br /> <br />This item was removed as it was covered in Item 9B. <br /> <br />12.
