<br />Staff produces this monthly program (during the <br />school year) in partnership with school district <br />#11. When Katie Young resigned, responsibility <br />for the production of the show was given to T.J. <br />Tronson. The transition has been seamless and <br />the program continues to inform and educate <br />parents and students regarding issues and <br />events in the school district. It should also be <br /> <br />noted that the program won an award in 2004. <br />The Schools in Focus set <br />The program won the Silver Star Award in the <br />Multi-Media Category of the Minnesota Public Relations Association awards <br />contest. <br /> <br />. Tronson and Joel Knudsen have created a new program series. It's <br />called "Coming Up on 15." The fifteen-minute show highlights some of the <br />programs one can expect to see on channel 15 in the coming month in a <br />relaxed and humorous way. <br /> <br />PR <br /> <br />We didn't make any big PR initiatives in 2004, but we did continue doing the <br />things that have worked for us in the past. <br /> <br />. Parades <br />For the third year, Media Center staff participated in the Tower Days and <br />Fetes des Lacs parades. We handed out flyers telling parade attendees <br />when they could see the parade on channel 15, along with hyping our news <br />program, City Scope. We also pelted innocent observers with a wide variety <br />of confectionary treats. While staff did not participate in the Blaine parade, <br />we did videotape it and covered many of the Blazin' 4th events for City Scope. <br />Next year we will also have the new Lino Lakes parade to cover. <br /> <br />. Tours/studio passes <br />Tours remain a very popular service provided by the Media Center.
