.. ARTICLE VI MISCELLANEOUS Section 6.01. Services. The EDA may contract for the services of consultants, agents, public accountants, and others as needed to perform its duties and to exercise its powers. The EDA may also use the services of the City Attorney, City Engineer, andlor hire other consultants as determined by the EDA Section 6.02. Supplies, Purchasing, Facilities, and Services. The EDA may purchase the supplies and materials it needs. The EDA may use the fucilities of the City's purchasing department The City may furnish offices, structures and space, stenographic, clerical, engineering and other assistance to the EDA Section 6.03. Official Seal. Minnesota State Statutes 469.096 requires that the EDA adopt an official seal. The Seal of the City of Cold Spring shall serve as the official seal of the EDA Section 6.04. Consistency with Community Objectives. The EDA shall strive to ensure that all official actions of the EDA are consistent with the adopted comprehensive plan of the city and any official controls implementing the comprehensive, the Mission Statement of the EDA and other community objectives established by the Council. Section 6.05. Commissioner Requirement. Individuals must either own property or reside within Cold Spring proper in order to be appointed to or continue to serve on the Commission. Section 6.06. Influence of Other Governmental Entities. The EDA shall submit all planned activities for influencing the action of any other governmentaI ageney, subdivision, or body to the Council for approval. These By-Laws are adopted as and for the By-Laws of the Cold Spring Economic Development Authority on the 11th day of December, 200 I by the EDA; and on the 8th day of January, 2002 by the Cold Spring City Council.
