<br />Downtown Centerville <br />Process & Schedule <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />To effectively meet the objectives for this project we have developed a <br />comprehensive work program, which consists of 13 principal tasks. <br /> <br />Tasks 1-.1- A Solid Foundation for Future Deeision Makinl/i <br /> <br />Overviewl Tasks 1-4 are designed to provide the project Design Team <br />with a comprehensive understanding of prQject goals and deliverables but <br />also to understand the market forces in play, the vision for the foture and <br />an understanding of issues facing current land and business owners. <br /> <br />Task 1- Establish Project Framework: An lnitial meeting with the <br />City and the McComb Group will allow for all of the project stakeholders <br />to start off with the SlIIlle basis of understanding of prQject goals and <br />de1iverables. Appropriata refinements will be made based on comments <br />from the group memhers. <br /> <br />TaSk a - SltefI'ransportationAnalysisl Obtalnand review <br />pertinent background Information for study area, including <br />characteristics of roadway system, cha.ractsristics of existing trail <br />system, existing and projectsd traffic volumes, planned improvements <br />to CSAH 14 and any other roadways in study area., base map and aerinl <br />photograph of study area., and Transportation element of City's <br />Comprehensive Plan. <br /> <br />Task3 - Downtown tourwith Business/Land Ownersl The <br />purpose of this task is to gain a better understanding of existing issues <br />facing business ownera in the downtown area as well as to understand <br />their goals and visions for the future. <br /> <br />Task 4 - Public Meeting #11 Presentationofprocess, visioning <br />exercises & analysis - a Project team meeting will fonow one week later. <br /> <br />Tasks 1-4 Olltcome/Deliverablesl Meeting Minutes. Alternatives will be based upon information <br />gathered in the analysis phase as well as input received from the Design <br />Team. <br /> <br />Tasks - Develop Preliminary Conceptsl The overall usefulness <br />of any set of schemes will rest in the combination of practicallty with <br />creativity and be based upon community vision, market realities and <br />impact on transportation and public infrastructure.
