<br />Downtown Centerville <br />Process & Schedule <br /> <br />111 <br /> <br />To effectively meet the objectives for this project we have developed a <br />comprehensive work program, which consists of13 principal tasks. <br /> <br />Tasks 1-4 - A Solid Foundation for Future Decision Maldng <br /> <br />Overview: Tasks 1-4 are designed to provide the project Design Team <br />with a comprehensive understanding of project goals and deliverables but <br />also to understand the marketforces in play, the vision for the future and <br />an understanding of issues facing current land and business owners. <br /> <br />Task 1 - Establish Project Framework: An initial meeting with the <br />City and the McComb Group will allow for all of the project stakeholders <br />to start off with the same basis of understanding of project goals and <br />deliverables. Appropriate refinements will be made based on comments <br />from the group members. <br /> <br />Task 2 - Site/Transportation Analysis: Obtain and review <br />pertinent background information for study area, including <br />characteristics of roadway system, characteristics of existing trail <br />system, existing and projected traffic volumes, planned improvements <br />to C8AH 14 and any other roadways in study area, base map and aerial <br />photograph of study area, and Transportation element of City's <br />Comprehensive Plan. <br /> <br />Task 3 - Downtown tour with Business/Land Owners: The <br />purpose of this task is to gain a better understanding of existing issues <br />facing business owners in the downtown area as well as to understand <br />their goals and visions for the future. <br /> <br />Task 4 - Public Meeting #1: Presentation of process, visioning <br />exercises & analysis - a Project team meeting will follow one week later. <br /> <br />Tasks 1-4 Outcome/Deliverables: Meeting Minutes, Analysis <br />Graphics and supporting documentation. <br /> <br />Tasks ;;-Q - EXDlorine:theAlternatives <br /> <br />Overview: Tasks 5-9 are designed to provide the project Design Team <br />with a comprehensive set of alternatives that explore what is possible <br />within the project area. Alternatives will be based upon information <br />gathered in the analysis phase as well as input received from the Design <br />Team. <br /> <br />Task 5 - Develop Preliminary Concepts: The overall usefulness <br />of any set of schemes will rest in the combination of practicality with <br />creativity and be based upon community vision, market realities and <br />impact on transportation and public infrastructure. Urban Design <br />alternatives will incorporate community concerns, encourage creativity <br />by the development community and be feasible from a market stand <br />point. <br /> <br />Task 6 - Project Team Meeting: Presentation of alternatives & <br />review of market forces with The McCombs Group <br /> <br />Task 7 - Public Meeting #2: Presentation of alternatives <br /> <br />Task 8 - Develop Preferred Concept: Develop preferred concept <br />based upon input received by Design team and general public. <br /> <br />Task 9 - Project Team Meeting: Presentation of refined pill!) 8 <br />Yage 1 <br />
