<br />61.14. <br /> <br />61.15. <br /> <br />61.16. <br /> <br />61.17. <br /> <br />61.18. <br /> <br />61.19. <br /> <br />61.20. <br /> <br />61.21. <br /> <br />61.22. <br /> <br />61.23. <br /> <br />61.24. <br /> <br />61.25. <br /> <br />City of Ccntcrvillc <br />Ordinance #8 <br />Effective 12/16/82 <br /> <br />LAND SURVEYOR: A registered land surveyor capable of preparing <br />engineering plans for land subdivision plats. <br /> <br />LOT: A portion of a subdivision, or other parcel of land intended as a unit for <br />transfer of ownership or for development capable of being occupied by one or <br />more structures. <br /> <br />LOT DEPTH: The mean horizontal distance between the front and rear line of <br />a lot. <br /> <br />LOT DOUBLE FRONTAGE: A Lot, the generally opposite ends of which <br />both abut on streets. <br /> <br />LOT WIDTH: The mean width measured at right angles to the depth. <br /> <br />NATURAL WATERWAY: Any natural passageway in the surface of the <br />earth so situated and having such a topographical nature that surface water <br />flows through it from other areas before reaching a final ponding area. The <br />term also means to include any and all drainage structures that have been <br />constructed or placed for the purpose of conducting water from one place to <br />another. <br /> <br />OWNER: The person having legal title, his duly authorized agent or attorney <br />in fact, a purchaser, devisee, fiduciary and a person having a vested interest in <br />the property in question. <br /> <br />PEDESTRIAN WAY: A public or private right-of-way across a block or <br />providing access within a block, to be used by pedestrians and for the <br />installation of utility lines. <br /> <br />PLAT: A map or chart indicating the subdivision or re-subdivision of land, <br />intended to be filed for record. <br /> <br />RIGHT-OF-WAY: The land covered by a public road or other land dedicated <br />for public use or for certain private use of, such as land over which a power <br />line passes. <br /> <br />RESERVE STRIPS: Narrow strips or narrow strips of land usually withheld <br />from the street right-of-way to form a barrier between certain property and the <br />public street or thoroughfare. <br /> <br />STREET: A right-of-way, which affords the principal means of access to <br />abutting property. A street may be designated as a highway, thoroughfare, <br />parkway, boulevard, road, avenue, lane, drive, place or other appropriate <br />name.
