Arterial Street or Highway: Streets providing for traffic movements <br />between traffic generation areas. <br /> <br />B. Collector Streets: Streets provided connection primarily between <br />arterial streets or arterial and local streets. <br /> <br />C. Local Streets: Streets serving primarily as access to abutting properties <br />and not intended as major streets or highways caring through traffic. <br /> <br />STREET WIDTH: The shortest distance between lines of lots delineating the <br />street. <br /> <br />SUBDIVIDER: Any person who undertakes the subdivision ofland as defined <br />herein. The subdivider may be the owner or the authorized agent of the owner <br />of the land to be subdivided. <br /> <br />SUBDIVISION: The division of a single lot, tract or parcel of land, or a part <br />thereof, into two or more lots, tracts or parcels of land. <br /> <br />THOROUGHFARE: A public right-of-way with a high degree of traffic <br />continuity and serving as an arterial traffic way between the various districts <br />ofthe City of Centerville. <br /> <br />TOPOGRAPHY: The detailed description of the features of a relatively small <br />area, also the relief features or surface configuration of an area. <br /> <br />WATERCOURSE: The work watercourse shall include channel, creek, ditch, <br />drain, river and stream. <br /> <br />WATERSHED: Rice Creek Watershed District. <br /> <br />ZONING: The reservation of a certain specified areas within the municipality <br />for buildings and structures for certain purposes with other limitations such as <br />heights, lot coverage and other stipulated requirements. <br /> <br />Adopted on December 8, 1982 <br /> <br />(Signature on File) <br />Gary Savela, Mayor <br /> <br />Attest: <br />(Signature on File) <br />Lu Prachar, Clerk-Treasurer <br /> <br />Published in the Circulating Pines on December 16, 1982 <br /> <br />Page 33 of 34 <br />
