Mr. March asked that a special meeting be held so that he could present
options for filling the vacancy.

One of the options presented was to advertise and replace the existing vacancy with a
full-time employee. Another option presented was to promote an internal candidate to a
revised ClerklTreasurer position and increase the hours of the two part-time receptionists.
In this option a part -time account clerk would also be hired to assist in performing
accounting duties.

Mr. March also presented a request from staff to reconsider hiring an outside firm to
perform the task of minute taking. Mr. March was instructed to acquire additional cost
estimates for this service. Council was supportive to further investigate restructuring the
position to better meet the long-term needs of the organization.
