The assessment can be
applied to your taxes and paid over a ten year period. I am
enclosing a page that breaks out your assessment over the ten
year period. If you, as the property owner, pay the entire
assessment within 30 days of the adoption of the assessment role,
no interest is charged. If you pay the entire assessment after
the 30 days, but before the City certifies the assessment to
Anoka County interest only accrues to the date of payment.

An additional one-time charge will be collected at the time of
connection called a water availability charge (WAC charge). This
charge is currently set at $1300. The charge was previously
established by City Council action. This charge is different
from the assessment, because you are not paying for the watermain
in front of your property, but you are paying for your share of
the watertower, wells and water treatment system.

Additional costs to you would be running your private line to the
watermain, and capping your well(if applicable). If you have any
questions please feel free to call me at City Hall at 429-3232.

(

"m March
Clerk/Administrator
