<br />CITY OF LEXINGTON <br />COUNTY OF ANOKA <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 08-06 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING CENTENNIAL LAKES POLICE <br />DEPARTMENT TO PARTICIPATE WITH SAFE AND SOBER <br />COMMUNITIES <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Lexington encourages, supports and participates in efforts <br />promoting safe driving in our community; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Safe and Sober Program is an organization endorsing awareness and <br />education for safe driving. <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED, that the Centennial Lakes Police Department is hereby <br />authorized to enter into a grant agreement with the Minnesota Department of Public Safety, <br />Office of Traffic Safety, on behalf of the City of Lexington, for the project entitled: SAFE & <br />SOBER COMMUNITIES during the period from October I, 2007 through September 30, 2008. <br /> <br />The Chief of the Centennial Lakes Police Department is hereby authorized to execute such <br />agreements and amendments as are necessary to implement the project on behalf of the <br />Centennial Lakes Police Department and the City of Lexington. <br /> <br />BE IF FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Coon Rapids Police Department is hereby <br />authorized to be fiscal agent and administer this grant on behalf of the Centennial Lakes Police <br />Department and the City of Lexington. <br /> <br />PASSED AND ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />LEXINGTON THE 17th, DAY OF JANUARY, 2008. <br /> <br />~._~ <br /> <br />Mayor . <br /> <br />1 <br />
