City of Centerville <br />Council Meeting Minutes <br />December 14, 2005 <br />Motion by Council Member Lee, seconded by Council Member Paar to approve <br />Consent Agenda Items 1 –7 and 9 – 12 as presented. All in favor. Motion carried <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />Mayor Capra asked why the landscaping plan is being amended. <br /> <br />City Administrator Larson explained that different types of trees were substituted as well <br />as rock being substituted for grass and that was different from the approved plan. <br /> <br />Mayor Capra asked whether this would affect drainage. <br /> <br />City Administrator Larson indicated that Rice Creek Watershed District has no issue with <br />the proposal. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Terway, seconded by Council Member Paar to approve <br />Consent Agenda Item 8 as presented. All in favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />V. AWARDS/PRESENTATIONS/APPEARANCES <br /> <br />1. Mr. Paul Pierce, Anoka County Historical Society – County’s Sesquicentennial <br /> <br />Mr. Pierce appeared before Council and indicated that the sesquicentennial of Anoka <br />County is May 23, 2007. He then asked for input from anyone interested in helping with <br />the activities and celebrations to be scheduled for the sesquicentennial. The telephone <br />number for the History Center is 763) 421-0600 and Mr. Pierce can be reached at 763) <br />421-3232. <br /> <br />Mr. Pierce indicated that they plan on doing a wagon train across the County which is a <br />four-day trip and there will be 10 seats on that wagon train open to the public. <br /> <br />Mr. Pierce indicated they are looking for 150 photographs and would like more <br />photographs from Centerville. <br /> <br />Mayor Capra indicated they are considering a simultaneous fireworks display for all the <br />cities in Anoka County. <br /> <br />Mayor Capra indicated there are 21 cities and townships in Anoka County. <br /> <br />VI.
