City of Centerville <br />Council Meeting Minutes <br />December 14, 2005 <br />information to consider the building being larger than 25,000 square feet and noted that <br />parking spaces for 150 vehicles is a large land requirement. <br /> <br />Mayor Capra asked whether the proposed library would fit on the property west of City <br />Hall. She further commented that she would like to look at other sites within the City <br />other than the downtown location. <br /> <br />Council Member Terway questioned where the funding for the library would come and <br />whether parking would be paid as well. <br /> <br />Mayor Capra indicated that the funding would come through Anoka County for the <br />facility. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Terway, seconded by Council Member Lee to approve <br />not to exceed $5,000 to Damon Farber to Study the Library location. All in favor. <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br /> 3. Centerville Sesquicentennial <br /> <br /> <br />Mayor Capra indicated that the wagon train will be incredible and she looks forward to <br />the other celebrations in honor of the sesquicentennial. She then asked Staff to designate <br />a Staff member to attend the meetings regarding the sesquicentennial. <br /> <br />nd <br />4. Centennial Lakes Police Department 2 Round of Tobacco Compliance Checks <br />for 2006 – All Licensees Passed <br /> <br />Mayor Capra asked Staff to send a congratulatory letter. <br /> <br />5. Lynn and Associates <br /> <br />City Administrator Larson indicated that Lynn and Associates has provided a proposal <br />for facilitating the Council/Staff retreat and asked for Council consideration. <br /> <br />Mayor Capra indicated that she would commit for the time for the January work session <br />and seek Staff recommendation as to how to proceed from there. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Lakso, seconded by Council Member Paar to table the <br />proposal from Lynn and Associates to the next meeting. All in favor. Motion <br />carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Mayor Capra indicated that the holiday charities going on within the City of Centerville <br />are Main Street Bank is collecting toys for families in need until December 21, 2005 and <br />the toys will stay in this area.
