<br />CITY OF CENTERVILLE <br />ANOKA COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br /> <br />ORDINANCE #_ <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE #39, <br />DIVISION 30: District Regulation <br /> <br />THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CENTERVILLE ORDAINS: <br /> <br />Section 1. Division 30, Section 030 - 010: is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />Section 030 - 010: ResidentialJPublic Districts (RI ,R2, R2A, R4, RS, M-I & PI) <br /> <br />Permitted Signs: <br /> <br />A Residential Identifications - Not more than two (2) square Feet per single family <br />dwelling or or six (6) square feet in area for each multiple-family building. <br /> <br />B. Institutional Identifications - Churches, schools, parks etc. allowed up to forty-eight <br />(48) square feet; not taller than eight (8) feet. <br /> <br />C. Business Signs - Home-based businesses may have a sign that is no larger than four <br />(4) square feet. The sign may not be an interior-illuminated sign. <br /> <br />D. Noncommercial opinion or message signs. On-premise noncommercial opinion or <br />message signs are permitted as follows: In residential districts, each dwelling unit is <br />permitted one additional sign which is no larger than 6 square feet and no higher than 6 <br />feet tall. In medium and high density districts, the sign must be attached to the dwelling <br />unit or placed in another location which clearly does not appear to represent the opinions <br />of other residents in the area who have not agreed to the sign. No permit fee is required <br />for a sign authorized under this paragraph. <br /> <br />Section 2. EtTective Date.
