City of Centerville <br />City Council Meeting <br /> <br />July 8, 2009 <br />Motion by Mayor Capra, seconded by Council Member Fehrenbacher, to approve <br /> <br />the June 24, 2009, City Council Meeting Minutes, as presented. All in favor. Motion <br />carried unanimously. <br /> <br /> V. CONSENT AGENDA <br /> <br /> <br />1.City of Centerville June 25, 2009, through July 8, 2009, Claims (Check 24501- <br />24560) <br /> <br />2.Centennial Lakes Police Department Claims through June 25, 2009 (Check #7329- <br />7341) <br /> <br />3.Centennial Fire District Claims through July 1, 2009 (Check #3840 Voided, Check <br />#3841-3855) <br /> <br />4.Parks & Recreation Committee’s Request for Funds Not To Exceed $200 for July <br />14, 2009, Music in the Parks BBQ <br /> <br />Motion by Mayor Capra, seconded by Council Member Broussard Vickers, to <br />approve the Consent Agenda as presented. All in favor. Motion carried <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />VI. AWARDS/PRESENTATIONS/APPEARANCES <br /> <br /> <br />1.Mr. Allen Cassell – CenterPoint Safety Grant Presentation <br /> <br /> Mr. Allen Cassell and Mr. Roger Randall from CenterPoint Energy appeared to present the <br />City Council with the CenterPoint Energy Safety Grant in the amount of $1,100 and <br />explain the purpose of the safety grant. This grant will be used to purchase safety vests for <br />the Centennial Fire Department. <br /> <br /> The City Council was also awarded a $1,400 Community Partnership Grant. <br /> <br /> City Administrator Larson took a picture of Fire Chief Jerry Streich, Mayor Capra, and Mr. <br />Cassell and Mr. Randall of CenterPoint Energy. <br /> <br /> Mayor Capra stated that the City appreciates any grant opportunity it has and thanked Mr. <br />Cassell and Mr. Randall for awarding these grants to Centerville. <br /> <br /> <br />VII.OLD BUSINESS <br /> <br /> None <br /> <br />NEW BUSINESS <br />VII. <br /> <br /> <br />1.Centerville Lions Request for Transient/Merchant, Peddler Application – Door-to- <br />Door Raffle Ticket Sales (Fete des Lacs) <br /> <br />Mr. Gregory Kieselhorst, with the Centerville Lions, appeared to present a Transient <br />Merchant, Peddler, Information/Application Sheet for the Centerville Lions.
