<br />City of Centerville <br />City Council Meeting <br />August 26, 2009 <br /> Mr. Keiselhorst returned a check to the City for the amounts not used. He stated that the <br />loss to the club will be more than what their insurance will cover, as they are a non-profit <br />organization. <br /> <br /> Mr. Tom Wilharber, Lions Treasurer, 6849 Centerville Road, reviewed some of the costs <br />involved. <br /> <br /> Mayor Capra inquired as to whom citizens should contact, if they would like to donate to <br />the Lions Club to help them with their losses. <br /> <br /> Mr. Wilharber replied citizens could contact their website: centervillelionsmn.com, or <br />donations could be made to their account at Main Street Bank. <br /> <br /> Mr. Keiselhorst wanted to remind citizens that the Lions Club is always looking for new <br />members. <br /> <br /> <br />VII.OLD BUSINESS <br /> <br /> 1. Res. #09-021 – Adoption of the 2030 Comprehensive Plan <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Fehrenbacher, seconded by Council Member Lee, to <br /> <br />approve Res. #09-021 – Adoption of the 2030 Comprehensive Plan. Motion carried. <br />Council Member Broussard Vickers abstained. <br /> <br />VIII.NEW BUSINESS <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />1.Centerville Lions Special Event Application – Annual Haunted House – Use of <br />Laurie LaMotte Park & Warming House <br /> <br />Mr. Greg Keiselhorst, Centerville Lions Club, appeared to request the use of Laurie <br />LaMotte Park and the Warming House for their Annual Haunted House. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Lee, seconded by Council Member Broussard Vickers, to <br />approve Centerville Lions’ Special Event Application for the Use of Laurie LaMotte <br />Park and the Warming House for their Annual Haunted House. All in favor. Motion <br />carried unanimously. <br /> <br /> <br />2.Northland Securities – Mr. George Eilertson, Senior Vice President <br /> <br /> <br />a.Financial Advisor Agreement Related to $2,475,000 G.O. Improvement <br />Refunding Bonds, Series 2009B <br /> <br /> <br />b.Resolution #09-022 Calling for the Issuance & Sale of $2,475,000 G.O. <br />Improvement Refunding Bonds, Series 2009B <br /> <br />Mr. Eilertson appeared to propose the potential refunding of the Series 2006A <br />Bond. He stated that interest rates in the municipal bond market remained low, <br />allowing an opportunity for local units of government to refinance existing debt to <br />Page 5 of 8 <br /> <br />
