<br />2. In-between the two-month meetings, the individual task groups should meet at a time <br />convenient for them. The meeting would be based on the progress of their task, and <br />would be held in order to gather or exchange ideas, resources, or project <br />developments. <br /> <br />3. As a City we should accept the Design Team results as a guide, although some things <br />will have to change a little from their plan. <br /> <br />4. Have one person as the designated leader for each task group. <br /> <br />5. The list of volunteers is always open for change. If there is another area of interest <br />you would like to help in, or if you have any special talents that would assist in a <br />project, please notify Wayne Leblanc and he will add it to the list. <br /> <br />6. There will be a communication mail slot at City Hall for any information that may <br />need to go out to the volunteers. Wayne Lablanc has also requested putting the <br />Comprehensive Plan on the Centerville website. Jim March is looking into the cost, <br />seeing that the Comprehensive Plan is extremely lengthy. <br /> <br />Wayne Leblanc then asked if anybody had any general questions, before the group <br />divided into specific task groups. Shelly LaBarre stated that she was concerned that she <br />may have missed something. She questioned whether everybody in the city was all right <br />with these changes. She stated that her husband was at the open house earlier, and he left <br />feeling like all the Design Team ideas were going to be put into place now, no matter <br />what the residents wanted. Wayne Leblanc then stated that there are going to be some <br />problems. Some residents will like some ideas, and not others. The key is to get groups <br />together, and get involved. The more people the better. Mary Capra added that the <br />Design Team visit was a year and a half-long process, and that a lot oftime was put into <br />the visit. Mary Capra also stated that no idea here is etched in stone, and that is why we <br />have the meetings, for residents to give their input. She stated that some things will <br />change, and some things will not. Some of the smaller changes are moving forward: the <br />fence at the school has been removed and a new, lighted school sign has been granted to <br />Centerville Elementary. Mary Capra stated that she was very glad that Shelly LaBarre <br />was at the open house, and hopes that she continues to give her imput. Shelly LaBarre <br />then stated that she, as well as others thought that the Design Team was just here to give <br />some ideas for a downtown revitalization, not a citywide revitalization. Therea Brenner <br />explained that a downtown revitalization is where it started but expanded from there. <br />Shelly LaBarre then stated that the city should decide as a whole on the ideas, not just <br />come to the open house, and do it. Rod Henslin concluded that the Design Team ideas <br />are like a very flexible master plan. The ideas define a goal, not the exact way to get <br />there. Tonight we are here to formulate a working team, to work towards the master <br />plan.
