<br />VI. PETITIONS AND COMPLAINTS <br /> <br />VII. UNFINISHED BUSINESS <br /> <br />Special Use Permit (SUP) - Mr. Llovd Drilling <br />Mr. Drilling was present to discuss a strip mall concept to be placed on a Commercially zoned parcel of <br />property located north of Main Street and west of Peterson Trail. Mr. Drilling displayed a color rendition <br />of the proposed strip mall. The Council agreed the new building design was in line with the Design <br />Teams commercial building theme. Furthermore, Mr. DriJJing proposed a sidewalk along Main Street on <br />Anoka County right-of-way. Mayor Wilharber read aloud the special use permit (Attached) correcting <br />the date of February 10, to February 24, the approval date. Mr. Drilling confirmed the City Council <br />approved the SUP with access from County Road 14 and Peterson Trail. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Nelson, seconded by Councilmember Sweeney to approve the SLiP as noted. <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Update on Water Intereonnert <br />NIr. Peterson gave a brief overview of the progress made on the water interconnect to be shared in <br />an emergency situation by the Cities ofLino Lakes and Centerville. After reviewing the current plans the <br />City Engineer Tom Peterson concluded that the telemetry system is not needed which will result in a <br />substantial savings. However, the City reserves the right to implement the telemetry system the in the <br />future, if deeded advisable. <br /> <br />Mr. Peterson noted a feasibility study will cost approximately 8% of the overall projected cost of <br />$87,500. Mayor Wilharber confirmed all easements are within the right-of-way (ROW). Mr. March <br />suggested the City secure a contractual agreement with the City of Lino Lakes, prior to authorizing the <br />onset of the feasibility study. Mr. Hoeft discussed obtaining temporary construction easements. Mr. <br />Peterson stated that he will resubmit the JPA (Joint Power Agreement) to the City of Lino Lakes Council <br />for approval and then begin the water interconnect plans and specifications. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Nelson, seconded by Councilmember Travis to authorize the plans and <br />specifications for the Water Interconnect, contingent upon obtaining temporary construction easements. <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />l <br /> <br />Present Financial Renorting Ootions - Connellmember Mari Nelson <br />C ouncilmember Nelson gave a presentation on financial reporting options. C ouncilmember Nelson <br />referred to a handout which included Cash, Investments, and Debts, Revenues and Expenses, Capital <br />Improvement Projection, and a Monthly Detail Report. Councilmember Nelson suggested the Council <br />receive the first and last reports monthly. Mayor Wilharber thanked Councilmember Nelson for the time <br />and effort involved The Council agreed to receive the Cash, Investments, and Debts and a Monthly <br />Detail Reports monthly. <br /> <br />VIII. NEW BUSINESS <br /> <br />Insurance Renewal Items <br />Mr. l'vlarch updated the Council on the insurance renewal items and tort limits.
