Army Reserve, Fort Snelling, MN <br />36411> Public Affairs Operations Center (PAOC) <br />Lieutenant Colonel, Combat Engineer <br /> <br />June 1983 to Present <br /> <br />Demonstrate Leadership and Technical Proficiency in a variety of military areas while maintaining <br />combat engineer expertise. <br />· Currently Commander 364th Public Affairs Operations Center providing written, audio, and video <br />pubic affairs support to theater area commanders. <br />· Deployed to Kosovo where as the United States Department of Defense Spokesperson for Europe <br />Balkans region, supported the commanding general with all areas of public affairs support including <br />press conferences, speeches, press releases, bi-monthly magazine, and video support. <br />. Public Affairs Officer for the 11th Military Police Brigade providing media operations support for Iraqi <br />Freedom Detainee Operations in the Northern area of Iraq including Camp Cropper and Baghdad. <br />· Adjutant {S-1} for the Battalion, responsible for clerical and administrative requirements for up to <br />500 personnel. Commanded a rotation of 57 personnel to Germany annual training 2002 <br />completing over a dozen construction projects. <br />· In Operations Section, 8-3 planned and executed battle plans for a combined arms exercise <br />coordinating with the five other multi-disciplined battalions involved in the exercise. <br />· As Headquarters Company Commander was responsible for a 120 personnel company and <br />deployed to Guatemala as rotation commander for annual training 1996 where up to 14 <br />simultaneous construction projects were coordinated. <br />· While assigned to A Company, served as support platoon leader, and company executive officer. <br />Significant areas of responsibility included physical security officer, and training officer. <br />. First officer assignment was to command 336th Engineer Detachment (Powerline) and served three <br />annual training periods in Honduras supporting a variety of base camp power operations and <br />installation. <br />Results: The 364th received the Army Superior Unit Award for service while deployed to Kosovo in <br />support of the Global War on Terrorism. The 11th Military Police Brigade was nominated for the <br />Meritorious Unit Citation. 367 t h Engineer Battalion significantly increased strength and readiness <br />during service timeframe. Received the Bronze Star Medal, two Meritorious Service Medals, two Army <br />Accommodation Medals, and three Army Achievement Medals for outstanding performance during the <br />above assignments. <br /> <br />Education <br /> <br />Michigan Technological University, Houghton MI <br />BSEE awarded May 1991 <br />Major: Electrical Engineering <br />Minor: Computer Engineering <br />Specialized Subjects: Analog and digital circuit design, microprocessor interfacing and design, <br />technical writing, and oral communication. <br /> <br />Interests and Activities <br /> <br />.
