NEW BUSINESS <br /> <br /> <br />1.Resolution #09-031 – Sponsorship of CDBG Grant Application <br /> <br />The City Council discussed the Community Development Block Grant as funds that may <br />be available to provide financial assistance to connect homes of eligible families to city <br />water. <br /> <br />Mayor Capra expressed her feeling that this grant would be of great benefit to residents <br />on fixed incomes. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Broussard Vickers, seconded by Council Member <br />Paar, to adopt Resolution #09-031 Accepting Sponsorship of CDBG Grant <br />Application. All in favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br /> <br />2.Parks & Recreation Committee Recommendation for Budget Balance to be Rolled <br />Over to 2010 <br /> <br />City Administer Larson reported that generally unspent operating budgets are not carried <br />over, but rolled into the fund balance. <br /> <br />After discussion City Council consensus was reached to not roll over the balance due to <br />extreme budget constraints. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Fehrenbacher, seconded by Council Member <br />Broussard Vickers, to deny the Parks & Recreation Committee Recommendation <br />for Budget Balance to be Rolled Over to 2010, due to extreme budget constraints in <br />2010. All in favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br /> <br />3.Review Driveway Request 1588 Peltier Lake Drive <br /> <br />City Administer Larson reviewed background information and provided pictures of the <br />site. <br /> <br />City Engineer Statz explained that the three inch difference in the driveway grade is a <br />fairly minor change. He stated the reasoning for the change was to eliminate water flow <br />to surrounding properties. <br /> <br />Page 3 of 5 <br /> <br />
