City of Centerville <br /> Council Meeting Minutes <br /> October 28, 2009 <br /> 5256.057.93 withholding 58,000.00 retainer and $750.00 per day for 7 days <br /> liquidated damages per the contract. All in favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> 6. Pav Request #6, 2009 Street Project — Forest Lake Contracting - $204,647.29 <br /> Engineer Statz reviewed information regarding liquidated damages and the contractor's <br /> request for a time extension. He stated if the Council were to approve the request then a <br /> change order would also need to be approved. He indicated that the time extension <br /> request was reasonable. <br /> The City Council discussed the request for a time extension and liquidated damages. <br /> Motion by Council Member Broussard Vickers seconded by Council Member Paar <br /> to extend the work order completion date by eight (8)days approving a change <br /> order, based on the recommendations by the City Engineer. All in favor. Motion <br /> carried unanimously. <br /> Motion by Council Member Paar, seconded by Council Member Fehrenbacher to <br /> approve Pav Request #6, 2009 Street Project — Forest Lake Contracting - $198., <br /> 647.29 (includes liquidated damages) based on recommendations by City Engineer. <br /> All in favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> IX. ANNOUNCEMENTS/UPDATES <br /> Mayor Capra reported she attended the MACTA Conference and encouraged the City <br /> Councilmembers to review the information that she emailed on the Cap Act. She stated <br /> the Good Turn Event 2009 is well on its way and thanked the press and the volunteers for <br /> promoting the event. She noted the Cub Scouts were distributing door hangers also <br /> promoting the Good Turn Event, which contributes to their earning of the Citizenship <br /> Award. She stated she would be presenting the award to the Cub Scout Pack at their <br /> Monday night meeting. She indicated information regarding the Good Turn Event could <br /> be obtained at the City website, noting the event starts the first week in November, 2009. <br /> X. ADJOURNMENT <br /> Motion by Love, seconded by Broussard Vickers to adjourn the October 28, 2009 <br /> City Council Meeting at 7:47 p.m. All in favor.
