CITY OF CENTERVILLE <br /> CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br /> APRIL 9, 1997 <br /> Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the City Council for the City of Centerville held their <br /> regularly scheduled council meeting and held the board of review on April 9, 1997, at City Hall. <br /> Mayor Tom Wilharber called the council meeting and board of review to order at 6:00 p.m. <br /> PRESENT: Mayor Wilharber <br /> Councilmember Mary Jo Helmbrecht <br /> Councilmember Sanna Buckbee <br /> Councilmember Theresa Brenner <br /> Councilmember Laura Powers - Rasmussen - Arrived at 7:35 p.m. <br /> STAFF /CONSULTANTS: Jim March, City Administrator <br /> Ry -Chel Gaustad, City Clerk <br /> David Nyberg, City Engineer <br /> BOARD OF REVIEW: <br /> Mayor Wilharber opened giving notice that the board of equalization in the City of Centerville, <br /> Anoka County, Minnesota, has met at the Office of the Clerk in the said City, at 6:oo p.m. on <br /> Wednesday the ninth day of April 1997 for the purpose of reviewing and correcting the <br /> assessment of the said City for the year 1998. All persons considering themselves aggrieved by <br /> said assessment, or who wish to complain that the property of another is assessed too low, have <br /> been notified to appear at said meeting, and show cause of having such assessment corrected. No <br /> complaint that another person is assessed too low will be acted upon until the person so assessed, <br /> or his agent, will have been notified of such complaint. <br /> Mayor Wilharber introduced Todd Smith, Anoka County Assessor. Mr. Smith distributed a <br /> synopsis of the 1996 sales in Centerville and the 1997 assessments payable in 1998. <br /> (EXHIBIT A) <br /> Mr. Smith commented, to date he had received eight assessment calls from Centerville residents. <br /> Further, in 1997 two hundred and forty-five parcels were evaluated. However, because of the <br /> anticipated growth more parcels are expected in 1998. <br /> Mayor Wilharber asked if anyone had any questions for Mr. Smith. There was no comment. Mr. <br /> Smith requested to stay in the event of late arrivals. <br /> 1 <br />
