Mayor Tom Wilharber called the <br /> workshop meeting to order at 5:05 P.M. <br /> PRESENT: Tom Wilharber <br /> Theresa Brenner <br /> Mary Jo Helmbrecht <br /> Laura Powers- Rasmussen <br /> ABSENT: Sanna Buckbee <br /> STAFF /CONSULTANT: Jim March, City Administrator <br /> Ry -Chel Gaustad, City Clerk <br /> David Nyberg, City Engineer <br /> Margaret Langfeld, Anoka County Commissioner <br /> Tim Yantos, Anoka County Deputy Administrator <br /> Scott Knutson, Community Partners, Inc. <br /> Fran Dunbar, Dunbar Development Corporation <br /> Mayor Wilharber explained the purpose of this workshop is to discuss Senior Housing. Mayor <br /> Wilharber explained Council member Theresa Brenner was spearheading the Senior Housing <br /> Project in Centerville. Council member Brenner introduced Tim Yantos, Anoka County Deputy <br /> Administrator, whom introduced Margaret Langfeld, Anoka County Commissioner then he <br /> addressed Senior Housing. <br /> Mr. Yantos explained the history of Senior Housing in Centerville, Mr. Yantos reported the <br /> land and market study was completed by Community Partners, Inc. Mr. Yantos introduced Scott <br /> Knutson, Community Partners who was the primary editor of the land and market study. <br /> Mr. Knutson elaborated on the land and market study. Mr. Knutson explained the three primary <br /> studies conducted: secondary data, local interviews and locally generated information. The <br /> secondary data included population, senior citizen future forecasting and accounting for current <br /> seniors in the area. Based on the 23 senior residents interviewed, Community Partners identified <br /> • the want and desire for senior housing locations and amenities. Locally generated information <br /> consisted of the area's Senior Housing, the interest of 43 local prospective renters and potential <br />
