MEMO <br /> DATE : March 4, 1997 <br /> TO Honorable Mayor and Council <br /> FROM : Jim March <br /> RE Summary of street crack filling bids <br /> Paul Palzer has acquired three proposals for street crack <br /> filling. As you can see by the attached information two of the <br /> three quotes were quite competitive. I concur with Paul's <br /> recommendation to enter into a three year contract with Bergman <br /> Companies. We have used Bergman in the past and have been <br /> satisfied with their performance. If we use the same company to <br /> do street crack filling on a consistent basis, it also makes it <br /> easier for us to have them refill the street cracks that have <br /> popped loose and are still under warranty. <br /> Sample Motion... I make a motion to accept the proposal from <br /> Bergman Companies, Inc. for street crackfilling for a three year <br /> period at the rates as specified in their proposal. <br />
