Obtain GPS locations for non - municipal high capacity wells that are <br /> within one mile of community wells. These other wells will be <br /> identified in the SWUDS data base administered by the Minnesota <br /> Department of Natural Resources. Target date - September 1, <br /> 1997. Lead agency - ? (Possibly Anoka County Health and <br /> Environmental Services.) <br /> PAR DELINEATE WELLHEAD PROTECTION AREAS AND DRINKING WATER <br /> SUPPLY MANAGEMENT AREAS FOR COMMUNITY WATER SUPPLY WELLS. <br /> Determine the methods that will be used to delineate wellhead protection areas <br /> for the joint powers board wells. <br /> 1. Select methods for delineating WHP areas. These may include a <br /> variety of methods such as 1) using the results of the metro model <br /> being constructed by MPCA, 2) the Prairie du Chien - Jordan <br /> model being proposed by MDH, 3) the Wellhead Protection Area <br /> Code developed by the U.S. EPA, and 4) county scale models <br /> developed by the joint powers board. This topic would be <br /> discussed at the February and March meetings of the joint powers <br /> board. Methods would be selected by June 1, 1997. <br /> 2. Identify the party or parties who will be responsible for delineating <br /> wellhead protection areas. The default is MDH. Target date - <br /> August 1, 1997.
