CITY OF CENTERVILLE <br /> CITY COUNCIL SPECIAL MEETING <br /> WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 20, 1999 <br /> 5:00 p.m. <br /> Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the City of Centerville held its special meeting on <br /> Wednesday, January 20, 1999, at City Hall, 1880 Main Street. <br /> PRESENT: Mayor Tom Wilharber <br /> Council Members: <br /> Theresa Brenner <br /> Terry Sweeney <br /> Dick Travis <br /> Mari Nelson <br /> ABSENT: None <br /> STAFF: Jim March, City Administrator <br /> Paul Palzer, Public Works Director / Building Official <br /> Jill Lien, Secretary <br /> ***************************************** * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * ** <br /> CALL TO ORDER <br /> Mayor Wilharber called the January 20, 1999 Special Meeting to order at 5:00 p.m. <br /> UNION NEGOTIATIONS <br /> Jim March explained he had received a faxed copy of the contract earlier from the <br /> International Union of Operating Engineers. Jim went on further to explain how it <br /> compares to last year and that the current contract expired December 31, 1998. <br /> The differences are as follows: <br /> One extra Holiday. <br /> Stand -by pay will stay the same from 1998 to 1999, but will increase in 2000. <br /> Safety shoes increased by $30.00. <br /> Each category of the insurance increased by $50.00 per month. <br /> The career development stayed the same. <br /> Wages were increased to reflect the market rate. <br />
