City of Centerville
Honorable Mayor Wilharber, City Council and Jim March
1880 Main Street
Centerville, MN 55038
April 14, 2000
RE: LETTER OF RESIGNATION
Dear Mayor Wilharber, Council and Mr. March:
Although I have enjoyed working for the City of Centerville for the past year and a half, I have
been offered and have accepted a position with a neighboring city.
I have enjoyed working with you all and treasure the friendships I have made. Each one of you
has taught me something that I will take with me as I further my career.
Thank you Dick for saving Acorn Creek! Without you bringing in the "big truck ", we would
still be raking rock! Thank you for serving the City, best of luck in all you do!
Thank you Linda for all the times you helped me with re- writing the ordinances we completed. I
wish you the best, and hope for the City's sake, you remain as involved as you are!
Thank you Terry, for taking the time to really listen to others, and for adding humor to our
sometimes -long meetings. You were so supportive of CNN, and continue to be in Fete Des
Lacs. You will be missed as a Council member by many!
Thank you Mari, for so many things. Your professionalism and your commitment to others has
taught me a lot about who I am. We are fortunate to have you serving our City, and I look
forward to your next term.
Mayor Wilharber, I have tried for so long to turn you into a Packer fan, and just because I am
leaving city staff, does not mean I will not quit trying. Thank you for supporting me in all of my
endeavors, for giving me confidence in myself, and for the many things you do for Centerville
that go unseen. Your continued involvement in the City will allow us to continue to move
forward with our goals. Congratulations on your upcoming retirement, best of luck!
Thank you Jim for not only being an awesome boss, but also a friend. You have been wonderful
to work for, and I have learned a lot from you. We are very lucky (from a staff standpoint as
well as a resident) to have an administrator who is willing to give so much time and energy into
his job and into the community. No body really sees or hears all of the different issues and
concerns you deal with on a daily basis. I am confidant Centerville is in good hands with you in
the administrators seat.
The reasons for my departure are many, and I am willing to discuss them with you privately if
requested. I intend on staying active in the community, and will stop by City Hall often.
My last day of employment will be on Friday April 28 2000, thank you and God Bless.
Respectfully Submitted,
t_ 47471 k:
Aimee Fairbrother
