My daughter is in the 5th grade at
Centerville Elementary. She has Epilepsy, ADHD and is Moderately
Mentally Handicapped. My daughter's last day of school was yesterday
as she will be undergoing brain surgery for her seizures on Thursday of
this week. This stuffed animal, with its D.A.R.E. T -shirt has been my
daughters sleeping companion ever since.
The other reason I am awake shortly after midnight is that I
received a knock at my door around midnight from one of your
thoughtful police officers. I did not call the department nor did anyone
in my neighborhood but, as he was driving by he noticed my truck door
was open in my driveway and was concerned that someone might have
been tampering with it. I looked over the inside of the truck to find that
the seatbelt had become lodged in the door, causing the door not to
close. I am grateful that he noticed this, for the next morning I have to
drive my daughter to the hospital. She will be admitted for her pre -
surgery test. If the kind officer did not stop I would have been late for
that very important appointment.
e in u J
ara Luckin
Centerville Resident
7193 West Robin Lane
