5oBa- <br /> $nz er4 <br /> Brainerd City Code 901.01 (Rev. 1995) <br /> Section 901 - Cats <br /> 901.01. Definitions. Subd. 1. The terms defined in this <br /> subsection have the meaning given to them. <br /> Subd. 2. "Owner° means any person owning, keeping, harboring <br /> or acting as custodian of a cat. <br /> Subd. 3. "Cat" means all cats over six (6) months of age. <br /> Subd. 4. "At large" means the cat is off the property of the <br /> person owning, harboring or keeping said animal. <br /> Subd. 5 -. "License Year" shall mean the period from January 1 <br /> until the following December 31. <br /> 901.03. Duties of Animal Control Officer. The Animal Control <br /> Officer established by Section 900.03 of the Brainerd City Code <br /> shall perform the following additional duties: <br /> Subd. 1. Investigate all reported incidents wherein a cat has <br /> bitten a person and confirm that said animal is quarantined as <br /> required herein. <br /> Subd. 2. Provide a written monthly report to the City Council <br /> as to the activities of the Animal Control Officer; relative to <br /> this ordinance. <br /> Subd. 3. Such other matters as may be prescribed by the City <br /> Administrator. <br /> 901.05. Animal Housing. Minnesota Statute §346.39 is hereby <br /> adopted by reference the same as if it was fully set forth. <br /> 901.07. Kennels. No person may maintain a kennel in the City of <br /> Brainerd for cats without securing a license therefor from the City <br /> Administrator along with the payment of the fee as set forth in <br /> Chapter X of the Brainerd City Code. Such license shall be in <br /> addition to the kennel license as prescribed in Minnesota Statute <br /> Sections 347.31 to 347.40. <br /> • <br /> 901.09. Cats Running at Large. Subd. 1. No cat will be <br /> permitted to run at large within the limits of the City. <br /> Subd. 2. Impounding. Designated Animal Control Officer may <br /> impound any cat found running at large within the City of Brainerd. <br /> If impounded, the cat will be held for seven (7) days and may be <br /> reclaimed by payment of the impound fees to the pound master. <br />
